Creamstriped Owl

A large moth with striking “eyes” on its wings, designed to see off  predators. According to candide.com, “Not much is known about the caterpillars, which are sometimes referred to as semi-loopers… Cyligramma latona can some times be attracted to gardens, especially when there is the scent of alcohol or rotting fruit.”
